My name is Jake Danon, and I was born and raised in Sonoma, California, before moving to Scottsdale, Arizona, where I completed high school. I now live in Flagstaff, Arizona, a place that has become a second home to me thanks to its outdoor culture, mountain lifestyle, and tight-knit community. Nowadays, I work in the ski industry and have direct experience in customer relations, team management, and various forms of communication. The experience of being in the ski community has only increased my enthusiasm for the outdoor market in general. Whether it is skiing, trail walking/running, camping, or navigating the varied Arizona scenery, I am best in situations where I can interact with people and the outdoors simultaneously. Alongside my love for the outdoors, I am a communications major at Arizona State University. I'm especially intrigued by public relations, marketing, and organizational communications. I enjoy finding ways to connect communities, tell meaningful stories, and build strong relationships between organizations and the people they serve. For me, combining the outdoor recreation industry with my passion for communications and public relations is the ultimate goal. I see future growth in careers where I can blend creativity and strategy with a love of the outdoors to make a positive impact on both communities and organizations.
